A universal symbol, the arrow holds a special significance in many cultures around the world. Throughout history, the arrow has symbolized war, power, swiftness, the rays of the sun, knowledge, as well as deities such as the Greek god Apollo and goddess Artemis (both hunters), the Hindu weather god, Rudra; and various gods of love and desire: Eros (Greek), Cupid (Roman), Kamadeva (Hindu). To some of the early settlers of Native Americans it symbolized protection and defense, while for other tribes it represents direction, force, movement, and travel. An arrow pointing down means peace. In today’s world the arrow is most associated with love and direction, and it is the astrological symbol for the 9th sign of the zodiac, the Sagittarius.
Elegantly framed in a thin layer of 18K gold, the arrow pendants are carved from agate drusies in three distinctive colors: Champagne, Magenta and Midnight Blue. The pendants hang from delicate 18K gold-filled chains, 18" long. Each chain has a three-crystal detail along the left side, matching the respective color of the pendant, and closes with a 10mm lobster claw.
The pendants measure 32mm (approx. 1 1/4") in length (including the bail) and 10mm (approx. 3/8") at their widest point.
